The relief pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Mark Melancon, is currently looking for a buyer for his opulent waterfront mansion in Holmes Beach, Florida.
The four-time MLB All-Star and his wife, Mary Catherine, recently listed the custom-built two-story house for sale with an asking price of $10,950,000. Coldwell Banker Realty’s Charles Buky is handling the listing.
Unexpectedly, Melancon discovers that he has more time than usual to handle personal matters. Unfortunately, owing to a shoulder 𝔦𝔫𝔧𝔲𝔯𝔶, the pitcher had to begin the season on the 60-day injured list, much to his chagrin.
The baseball star’s home provides amazing views of the deep blue waters of Bimini Bay from every room. The home is located on the incredibly exclusive Anna Maria Island, a stunning barrier island off the coast of Florida known for its spacious beaches, outstanding restaurants, and distinctive stores.
Encompassing a huge living space of 5,921 square feet, the two-story residence features six bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half bathrooms, and two spacious living spaces.
Notably, Melancon is selling the property fully furnished, including the meticulously selected custom furniture, upholstery, and window treatments depicted in the accompanying images.
The professional baseball star has made several attempts to sell his Holmes Beach property in the past. In May 2022, Melancon first tested the market by listing their property for $14,789,000.
Before signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Melancon had a highly successful career as a player for prestigious clubs including the New York Yankees, Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals, San Francisco Giants, Atlanta Braves, and San Diego Padres. It’s likely that Melancon already has another vacation home planned.
We recently featured a detailed look at the pitcher’s family’s dream home that was being built for them in the posh Mandarina resort in Mexico when he was playing for the San Francisco Giants a few years ago. The completion date for this picture-perfect tropical property, which is built on a private bluff and has stunning ocean views, was set for 2020.
In a remarkable twist of fate, MLB All-Star Mark Melancon found solace and serenity in his newly acquired river house. As the sun set over the tranquil waters, Mark reflected on his illustrious career, cherishing the memories of his dominant performances on the mound. Surrounded by the whispers of the river, he embraced the tranquility, knowing that his legacy would forever be intertwined with the soothing rhythm of the water.
